Its Ra... good players do go there but so do really really bad people. As stated... go to teams.

I find it odd that everyone in RA feels this way. I have 31 glad points from RA and I KNOW my team has lost because of me before. I have rez slow before, I have rushed in too fast, I have retreated too slow, I have missed hexes getting put on my team, on me, I have been off target when I shouldn't be, I have brought experimental builds that just SUCKED, I have even errored 7 before let alone all the little mistakes that can cost you the game.
Not everyone is on top of their game all the time and if you think you are not the reason your team lost it could be true......... But I know sometimes I am the one that made the mistake that cost us the game. I own up to it and better my play.

ensigns quote about the whammo is good. it reminds me of something a person said about the all monk ha team. wand the zashen team, and when you get to real people, constantly heal eachother until the other team getts fed up and resigns. and if you can, you can hold the alter very well with this.

Here is how it's done:
1) Get some freinds.
2) Play Team Arenas.
Random arenas is full of scrubs, it has, and never will change. Sure it's fun to go into RA every few days for 10 mins and wipe people, but I don't see how you can complain about the playing level of people there.
From past experiences its used by W/Mos with a 13% While hexed fellblade who will spam it in the pre game wait, and have such a large E-Peen they won't take advice. The very rare species of these W/Mo's have a emote, otherwise known as a Bambii. These are the elite tribal leaders, who not only have Mending, but also have access to Bonetti's Defense and Defy pain.
If you're going into RA trying to get a Glad point, go to TA.

Oh, man, that cracked me up...Sadly, you'll find stuff like this every now and again 0_o

I used to play Boon prot in RA, but now I changed to Mo/A BL because Anet seems to do everything to kill boon prots :/
I just enter and always play the first game. If I see that the group won't work (too many monks / not enough damage, even from 3 "damage dealing" teammates) then I leave after we won or lost the game. I got 5*10 consec yesterday and had a very good team (Mesmer, Searing Flames ele and Thumper). If you want to get glad points in RA, I advise playing monk and just hope you get a team that does decent damage and you're set

QFT... I go as a communing/restoration rit. 4 spirits/3 heals and a rez signet. I roll through RA with this consistently. I've got about an hour to play in the morning and typically get 1 glad point a day from this.
If you really want glad points from RA then bringing a healing class is your ticket. Otherwise... go with a proven build in TA.
